Her overall subject matter is informed and filled by the environment, connecting what lies within with what is around us.
Please come meet Meghan on
- Feb 18th, from 10am - 2pm at the Baker Community Center, she will be doing a live painting.
- Feb 26th, at 4 pm for a program in the Great Basin Visitor Center Classroom, in which Meghan will talk about her residency and show previous pieces of her work as well as pieces created throughout her residency.
Meghan relates, " I believe that every moment, every breath, offers a meaningful chance to pause and connect with our surroundings. My paintings and drawings translate the rich patterns and textures of nature into pieces that depict combinations of flora and fauna from specific habitats. As a native Nevadan, Great Basin National Park aligns perfectly with my artistic vision. Creating work inspired by the beautiful natural environment of our state has always been a goal of mine."
